Maserati to Build Hybrid Vehicles

Seeing as how hybrid-electric cars and SUVs have quickly taken the market by storm, Maserati has unveiled plans to build an all-new lineup of hybrid and electric vehicles by 2022. The first to appear in showrooms will be the all-new Maserati Alfieri, the first-ever luxury EV coupe. Featuring three electric motors, the Maserati Alfieri is expected to have over 500 horsepower in its highest specification. This all-new model will be built in a new factory in Modena, Italy, a long-time home for the Italian carmaker. With pre-production beginning soon, stay tuned for more details about this powerful new coupe.

An Energized Lineup

In addition to the exciting new Alfieri, Maserati will be producing hybrid and EV variants to the rest of its current lineup. The Maserati Levante SUV, Quattroporte luxury saloon, and the popular Ghibli will all see plug-in options by 2022. This new generation of plug-in hybrid Maserati cars and SUVs will offer more performance than ever before, all while retaining that iconic Italian look and feel. These will be sold alongside the traditional gasoline variants, giving buyers more selection than ever before.
